With DisplayCal Profile loader already running in the background; i run an program that requires colors to be loaded or my calibrated profile from dispcalgui to be loaded, i get this error. Doesn’t happen in all programs naturally but it especially annoying with MPC-HC since it comes up every time i start a video.

I can’t reproduce this. Please attach logfiles to the ticket as per the ticket posting guidelines, thanks.
I have the same issue. Here is the full error message: C++ assertion “m_iconAdded” failed at ..\..\src\msw\taskbar.cpp(254) in wxTaskBarIcon::ShowBalloon(): can’t be used before the icon is created
Log attached.
Thanks. Try this (quit the profile loader, use the one from the ZIP): http://displaycal.net/temp/DisplayCAL-3.1.0.1-win32.zip
Just now, I also encounterd this assert error. My repro was:
1) windows 10 x64 laptop was sleeping
2) I opened lid
3) typed in password
4) windows desktop appears and this same assert error
Attached is my log file. It does show the assert in it.
