  1. Connected Spyder 3 Elite via USB port.
  2. Launch DisplayCAL
  3. Select settings preset for “Video 3D LUT for Resolve (D65, Rec. 709 / Rec. 1886)”
  4. Click “Calibrate & Profile”
  5. Connect to IP address via Resolve’s Monitor Calibration menu item
  6. Set up measurement area and click “Start measurement”
  7. Interactive display adjustment window comes up, but the start measurement button is greyed out.
  8. Have waited for up to 45 minutes but button remains unclickable.

Note: In previous attempts, I used to get “setting up instrument” message on the display adjustment window between the RGB and Luma sliders. This is now absent after turning on.

System: Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.5

Device: Spyder 3

Resolve 12.5.6

DisplayCAL and ArgyllCMS are both up to date.

  1. Tried running it with interactive calibration disabled, and this is the message I get. So indeed, the USB IO is timing out.

Could it be an issue with the spyd2_init_inst line?

My instrument is recognised correctly as a Spyder 3 on the initial app window.
