I am running CachyOS, derived from Arch Linux. The native build of DisplayCal installs fine and runs fine until it hits the json error because of the Python dependency. To get around this problem I have installed the flatpak version and it works as expected, except…

When using the native build, I set the white point in the pre-calibration stage. I adjust the brightness, contrast, and color gains to get the desired targets. All works as expected.

When I use the flatpak version, the same monitor settings give very different white point values than the native build. The green level seems to the biggest dependency.

Both versions of profiles have always verified within acceptable tolerances and very similarly.

So, what is going on and which is correct? The native build or the flatpak version? How can this be resolved? I would much rather use the native version, will it be fixed?

Sorry but you may not get a actual answer here.   The github is for versions above 3.8.9.3.  https://github.com/eoyilmaz/displaycal-py3     .      There is discussions there and a link to a nightly windows  and mac build from 2 days ago.   They need all the support they can get.
