    Hi there,

I am trying to calibrate my BenQ grading monitor using an Xrite Display Pro i1 and DisplayCAL. I am running DaVinci Resolve on my iMac 5k, which is outputting the video signal to a BlackMagic Mini Monitor (thunderbolt to HDMI) into my BenQ. I was told to make a 3D LUT and apply that in Resolve. I did this– however now my external display is correct, but the viewer in the UI on my iMac is very purple (just the viewer, not the whole screen) and my exports are purple as well. How do I get the LUT to only affect my BenQ? What am I doing wrong in my calibration?

    Hi,

you probably have to create a 3D LUT for the viewer as well. There are instructions for this in the Wiki (on the same page as the workflow for external monitors, just a little further down). As the viewer is not as critical, you can reduce the number of patches being measured on the “Profiling” tab to save some time.
