I found a correction file for my Spyder 3 “Spyder3 & NEC P241W (GretagMacbeth i1 Pro).ccmx” from http://colorimetercorrections.hoech.net/?get&type=&manufacturer_id=NEC&display=P241W&instrument=&html=1. The NEC P241W shares the same panel part as my HP ZR24W which is a standard gamut panel. I ran DispcalGUI with the correction and the result differed in the gamut mapping:

Should I trust this new result?

Hi,
I found a correction file for my Spyder 3 […] I ran DispcalGUI with the correction and the result differed in the gamut mapping:
Sure, this is expected.
Should I trust this new result?
Without a more accurate instrument to verify (e.g. a Spectrometer), it’s hard to tell. The result with correction looks more plausible though, as it more closely matches some of the gamut graphs found elsewhere on the web [1].
