    Hi Florian,

Spyder4 fails on starting calibration, DisplayCal new version 3.1.7, screenshot attached.

Previous version 3.1.6 runs fine without problem.

    Warmest regards,

    Update:
I tried reinstall 3.1.6, the issue still persist.
Previous 3.1.6 before updateing to 3.1.7 was fine.

Perhaps it is the new Argyll?

    I reinstalled Argyll 1.8.3

    DisplayCal 3.1.6 runs OK again.

Then I reinstall DisplayCal 3.1.7, runs OK now with Argyll 1.8.3.

    Hi,

did you update Argyll CMS as well? In that case, you’re probably hit by a configuration problem in the Argyll 1.9/1.9.1 release, but it can easily be resolved by re-importing colorimeter corrections from the vendor software (you need to be using DisplayCAL 3.1.7):

    1. In DisplayCAL, select “Import colorimeter corrections from other profiling software…” in the “Tools” menu.
    2. Tick the checkbox that says “Spyder4/5”.
    3. Click “Auto”.

If it still doesn’t work after performing those steps, please attach a log of a successful run using 3.1.6 and one of a failed run using 3.1.7 (although my expectation is that 3.1.6 would also fail if used with Argyll 1.9/1.9.1).

Thank you Florian, it works per your instructions.

    Salute,
