I have a Spyder 4 Pro connected. Step 3 of the Quickstart  Guide “Click the small icon with the swirling arrow in between the “Display device” and “Instrument” to detect connected display devices and instruments”. Clicked it but the Spyder Colorimeter is not detected, no popup dialog.

Tried with Laptop and Desktop (both 64 bit machines) and same result.

You need to install the ArgyllCMS driver for your Spyder4. Follow the Quickstart Guide.

Can’t find the download file, so gave up.

    Thanks anyway, Steve

There’s no file that you have to find. You select a menu item and everything’s done for you.

This doesn’t look like “You select a menu item and everything’s done for you.” Looks like you need a degree in computer technology.

Read the quick start paragraph I linked to again please. And read it carefully.

On the Tools menu there is no option for “Install ArgyllCMS instrument drivers…”.

Thanks Florian, your answers here were very useful! I’m calibrating my monitor with Spyder4 Express now 🙂
