    Trying DisplayCAL with an i1 Display 2.

    During the White test the Red and Blue are saturated and Green is very low.  The monitor looks fine and the three colors are balanced when testing with an i1 Display Pro.

    I would trust the i1 Display Pro over the i1 Display 2.

    Yes, I was including the Pro result only to show contrast.  White on the monitor shows up as white, not as Purple.

    Could it be that the green sensor is just not working or is it the drivers?

    The i1 Display 2 is an older instrument that was designed for CRTs and standard gamut CCFL backlit LCDs. Anything other than that won’t probably work as well without a custom made colorimeter correction. It also has organic filters that degrade over time.

    Despite how the white balance is reporting; the calibration seems to be working.
