I have an X-rite i1 Eye-one Display LT ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NRODT4/ ) that is nearly 10 years old at this point. My question is how much am I missing out on using this device? Would I really see improved color accuracy using a new device or is this one close enough? It seems to work OK with DisplayCAL but I don’t know how accurate the end result is.

The thing is you can’t know how accurate this or any other device is until you compare it to a device of known higher accuracy (i.e. a spectrometer where the manufacturer may have certified a certain level of accuracy). So in other words: It usually doesn’t make sense to worry too much about these questions unless you are in a situation where you need to solve a specific practical problem.
