    Hi,

I discovered DisplayCal, avoiding me to change my Spyder2 Suite device, thanks a lot 🙂

But I don’t understand something: I created long before a document  http://prnt.sc/cpll06  wih a nice green color  (on the left)n but now the green seems fluo (on the right) .

In fact, the nice green only exists even on old Jpeg exports made before DiscplayCal…
if I open the old PSD, then the green is Fluo .. even in Acrobat Reader.

-> Does it mean that my green color has alsways been this bad fluo color (because It’s like that in all old documents)?
-> Or does it mean thans since I calibrated with DisplayCal, I missed something.. and I can’t see the true green color ?

    Photoshop settings : http://prnt.sc/cpllse
    Profile : enclosed

Thanks a lot for your expertise
    regards

    Mitch

    Hi Mitch,

You should not use your monitor profile in the RVB section. There you should select a standard color space profile, like sRGB, aRGB, or ProPhoto according to your preferences.

Also your first link doesn’t work.

    Cheers!

hi there, some sites keep suggesting using monitorprofile as workingspace setting in adobe products. nevertheless, that doesn’t make any sense.

use srgb for monitor viewing or internet use; a-rgb for professional work.

    Mitch – may I ask you why you’ve calibrated to 5800? you’re in a pre-press environment?

    kind regards – Guenther

errr.. no, I work mainly for the web, but this one is for printing.

    – I’ll try to set to aRGB or SRGB , thanks 🙂

I see. 5800 seems to be a workaround for you.
