    Hi,

After calibrating & profiling a display with a i1 Display Pro, I’ve noticed in the measurement report that the gamma rises from 1.7 and stabilizes around 2.7 starting from 40%. It this normal given the conditions below? From reading other threads I was expecting such a high gamma for much lower ambient light levels.

    • Display profile luminance: 124.3 cd/m²
    • Tone curve: sRGB
    • Black output offset 100%
    • Ambient light level adjustment 101.20 Lux (measured)

    Thank you

    Hi,

this is what the luminance adjustment does, it alters the tone response respective to your ambient luminance. Generally, I’d advise against using this option unless you have a specific need for it.
