ICC v2 or ICC v4, how to chose what to use?

HI! Do you know if there is a way to find out what version or ICC a file is using? and if there is a way to select in Photoshop which version of ICC will be used to save a file with?   I have not found a single mention of it on the net on how to select what to save with.

If by “a file” you mean “an ICC profile”, then yes. There’s 3rd party tools that can be used to look at the profile internals, e.g. ICC Profile Inspector.

You can select if the document profile (if any) should be embedded when saving (usually recommended), but the profile itself won’t be changed.
