Hello guys,
Bought a mini led monitor xiaomi g pro 27i it came with a too low EOTF and a light red tint in HDR, its a software issue well know on this model.
anyway i was able to fix the problem by using a software called videoequalizer, and load the proper EOTF curve i previously loaded with ddcutil commands and then saved it as a LUT profile with video encoder.
i was able to make the profile work in HDR by loading it with videoencoder on windows 10 in any games in fullscreen, i just had to toggle the volume button of my PC which somehow i guess was breaking fullscreen mode and the LUT profile was applied and holded. (could see picture turn brighter) this was my only fix.
But sadly i updated to WIN 11 and now my LUT profiles always reset in fullscreen mode, if i toggle the volume to apply it like i did on WIN10 the LUT apply but reset few seconds after … can see screen turn brighter then bark to dark again, no way to make the LUT hold even in borderless fullscreen, i guess it was a bug from win10 basically staying “outside” of the fullscreen mode allowing my LUT profile to apply. But look like its fixed on WIN 11.
so i dont know what to do anymore, windows HDR calibration doesnt help for the EOTF (HDR look too dark) well know on this model.
I guess i will get the same result with 1d LUT or even ICC profile, im not even sure if i can create a ICC profile for HDR to fix the EOTF.
Hope you guys could have an idea, even if i know no any color management are not supposed to apply in fullscreen mode …
2025-11-02 at 3:57 #144966allright managed to create a HDR ICC profile with color control then added it as HDR profile in windows setting it work in fullscreen but now if i use a HDR color profile my games stutters … even if i use the ICC from windows HDR calibration the game stutter, no issue if untick ” use legacy display icc color management” but without this setting my HDR profile doesnt apply in fullscreen mode …
2025-11-03 at 22:17 #144968What kind of profile? Can you attach it?
2025-11-04 at 0:55 #144969any profile, i mean even the profile you create with hdr calibration tool from Wwin11 even this one dont work. I mean it work but create stutter.
its just like a regular ICC profile cause i see it appear in color management. only way to disable stutter is untick “use legacy display icc color management” for the game but then HDR profile not applied anymore.
