Can someone explain this to me?

On my Dell monitor I get a srgb coverage/volume of 94.6/97.9

    On my Asus it’s 97/117

Which would be the better monitor to use for srgb work? My assumption on how this works is that the Asus monitor…while covering 97% there is the percentage that falls (17%)  outside the gamut of srgb .

While on the Dell it seems I would stay within the srgb spectrum

The gamut coverage and volume are purely informational, furthermore a difference of +- 5% is negligible. In terms of significance, the coverage percentage is the one that counts more, and volume is just an indicator of the total gamut volume.
