I want to measure the uncalibrated PQ tracking of my 2021 Macbook Pro 14″ with XDR screen. What is the best/easiest way to do so? I know it is possible in calman, but was curious if there is an alternative that doesn’t require expensive software.

HCFR (for windows, “displaycal’s cousing based on ArgyllCMS too) and using DisplayCAL under macOS maybe you’ll be forced to create a profile only ICC (no GPU calibration) in order to enable “measurement report” (profile validation button on validation tab). IDNK why newer instalations in macos of DIsplaycal require such pain to validate a profile… my WIndows instalation doe snot suffer such issue.
There is also Python3 port of DIsplaycal by Erkan’s, see his thread here. It seems that it fixes some issues.
