    Hi Display CAL people

I’m attempting to set up a grading suite for HDR Dolby Vision, grading on an ASUS PA27UCX.

Mac system, feeding the monitor via a Blackmagic 4K Ultrastudio 4K Mini.

Looking at the Dolby Vision Requirements I think the following are correct:

    Source colourspace: DCI-P3 / SMPTE-431-2 D65

Tone Curve: SMPTE 2084 (roll off)

    Target Peak Luminance: 1000 cd/m2

    Content Colourspace: DCI P3 D65

    But:

    What should the following be?

Rendering Intent: Absoute Colorimetric with white point scaling????

Input Encoding: TV Rec 2020 Constance Luminance YCbCr UHD????

Output Encoding: TV Rec 2020 Constance Luminance YCbCr UHD????

And then in Calibration settings, its very unclear:

Do I leave all settings to ‘As Measured” for creating a 3D LUT? Or do I make it custom and set white level to 1000 cd/m2, black level to 0.0001, Tone Curve…. No idea

This is for a film school and initially for someone who is applying for a Dolby Vision certification in the next few days and needs it for this practical component.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Thanks so much

    Ben
