Creating a monitor profile

What ho one and all,

I have been using my Spyder 2 Pro and associated software for years with XP and had no problems.

Recently up-graded to W7 and although the software installs the colorimeter is not seen.  So I have installed DisplayCAL.

Lots about the program that I don’t understand, but my Spyder 2 is listed.

However, the Profile & Calibrate button is permanently greyed out.  I have tried numerous options but cannot see how I can profile my monitor.
