Purchased Calibrite Display Plus HL
– Feels cheap
– Doesn’t come with Tripod
– Mounts poorly
– Profiling after initial Calibration run appears to ruin the icc profile making everything too dark
Measured: TN Gaming Display XL2546K. I know I can’t expect best colors, but I have my own reasons for using TNs.
Want: Better Colorimeter. Budget, up to 2000 EUR.

Likely to be your fault: your (wrong) app settings or your lack of knowledge about how to use these things, including how to use monitor’s OSD.
Measure before making bold claims.
Anyway, use DisplayCAL instead of Calibrite Profiler, set brightness as measured and put manually a brightness on OSD where you feel confortable. Also keep one channel RGB gain at 100%.
BTW, you do not need a tripod for measuring a monitor or TV. Also it is advised on manuals to tilt monitor slightly upwards if you are not able to sit device flat over screen.
