Novice here, would i be able to hardware calibrate my LG 27MB85Z-B via LG Calibration Studio with Calibrite Display SL ? And is it a good choice for a calibrator? And if it’s not compatible for hardware calibration, is it even worth the purchase? Any recommendations are appreciated!

You can try i1d3 hook from LeDoge: run LG, apply the hook, and wait for LG software to detect it or re plug it.

Regarding device, it’s colormunky display. It’s an i1d3 so it can make accurate readings but it’s slow. I do not recommend going for the colormunkis unless you understood all the limitations. On OS without hook it wlll be limited to a munki display too.

Regarding LG software, I do not remember the details but it’s unlikely that it supports with EDR (colorimeter corrections, Xrite binary format) any new WLED PFS backlights… as seen in may other brands. You can read/search the forum about EDR patching/rebuilding.
