Hi,
I’m a new in display cal software.Previously I’ve used this software in spyder5 elite.
now thinking to upgrade it to a c6 hdr5000.
So my question is, does this device supports DisplayCal3?Quite the opposite question, “does ArgyllCMS support it?”
It’s a common i1d3 (a i1displaypro) but unlock code is different from retail or oem versions. Due to complains from Portrait Displays to Xrite, Graeme removed the well known unlock code from current ArgyllCMS distributions.
If you ask in ArgylCMS maillist you may get the executable with C6 support or recompile ArgyllCMS yourself (c9bfafe0 02871166)Also unless you are going to use Calman, pretty useless overpriced purchase. Even with a hook I can use Calman with full pack of exclusive C6 EDR corrections with my retail i1d3.

Thats why I’ve asked that displayCal3 or ArgyllCMS got the support for it or not.
in displayCal3 support list I see only Calman x2 which is a pretty old device.
A C6 is just another i1displaypro and it needs its own unlock code. You can recompile it with data provided or request a custom build with C6 support in ArgyllCMS maillist.
(we asume C6 has the same unlock code as C6 HDR, which is an educated guess)

The gold C6 HDR5000 doesn’t use the same unlock key as the older red C6 variants.Newer device support request should be re directed to ArgyllCMS maillist. Gaeme may help you finding the new unlock code.
Does C6 HDR5000 still use the same SP-XXXXXX serial number format as other C6 from Portrait Displays?They are selling in that i1d3 plastic case!

Beware that cable bend next to colorimeter, after long years of service cable cover may be damaged by bending.
I would expect to sell that C6 in a more robust case like the red one. Maybe you can find one of those cases on ebay.No, the serial number is different.
