2024-12-15 at 23:39 #142563After a fast read, it seems that colorspace matrix-to-matrix is done by GPU driver even if you disable GPU acceleration.
A lot of years ago the nvidias with full GPU driver acceleration in some interval of driver versions (solved long ago) caused weird issues, that’s why I suggested to turn off GPU acel.
As other users have tried in your link, as you did, turning off GPU accel on M-chips does not disable “all” features.D Fosse diagnosis seems right to me, you’ll have to wait for an update.
On windows, with a x86 machine, all lifting is caused by sRGB vs “display profile TRC”, and it is legit ( RGB1 in sRGB should be render as RGB 6 if display profile says “perfect 2.2”) IF display profile matches calibrated display behavior to some extent (if actual TRC is very very close to display TRC).

I’ve now fully switched to Windows and calibrated 3 different options. Which one is the best solution for Windows?
Question 1: Should I go for:
1: XYZLUT with matrix? (default settings)
2: Matrix Single gamma 2.2
3: Matrix Single sRGB

Gamma: Single sRGB or XYZLUT 2.2 follows gamma more accurately. Am I correct?

So, I created these profiles with DisplayCAL 3.8.9.3

Your report is not compareing it to rec 709. It is compareing it to stored colorspace measured in the profile. Simulating profile lets you test your display as it was a simulated colorspace for viewing things in that colorspace. Is your app converting it rec 709? I think it is. Do you save every picture over to get it to a target colorspace?

Thank you for your response. I don’t do anything with Rec. 709/video, only photos for hobby purposes.
