I think setting display nits manualy to the color that runs out of color before full reaching white point nits will avoid color clipping.    The color control makes color clips but gets saturation up.

I fixed getting pinking white even with color at 0 by calibrateing to lower target white and lower the 100 point control to match it to 102 instead of it trying to do 110 native and it could for green and blue but not red.   I saw where red was flat and choose that rgb number to set white to with rounding the number down.   Funny how white point is 102.543 now and slowly going down.  Its warming up and meter position changed.

If you have a bad display this may help.
