Hello, I bought an Asus PA279CRV monitor and a Calibrite Display PRO HL calibration probe for photo editing and occasional printing.
The thing is that from the beginning it seems to me that the monitor has a slightly yellow-green tint.Maybe it’s because I’m used to a different monitor and a higher brightness level (I’m currently set to edit the recommended 120cd/m2), but when I compare photos on an iPad 2025, which I sometimes edit in Lightroom, the photos on the Asus are warmer (for example, the sky in the same photo is blue on the iPad and slightly cyan blue on the Asus). Is the iPad a good reference for comparing correct calibration? It should supposedly be calibrated to 6500k, so I’m surprised when my monitor is also at this temperature.
How can I check if the colors on the Asus are correct?
I wrote to asus and calibrite support regarding the correct spectral correction and both manufacturers recommended PA279CRV W-LED for this monitor.
My calibration settings:
In the monitor OSD I have:
mode: native
white point 6500k
dynamic dimming – off
HDR – off
Power mode – normal levelin Windows:
night light – off
automatic application color management – off
HDR – offDisplayCAL:
correction – W-LED
white point – D65
brightness – 120 cd/m2
Gamma 2.2I am sending a measurement report, could you take a look and tell me if it is good?
What do you think about it? If the image was in a yellow-green shade, would it be obvious from the report?
I don’t know whether to return the monitor or keep it…
Sorry for so many questions, but I don’t know enough about colors and calibration yet and it is new to me.
I will be happy for any advice.
Thank you, KarelAttachments:

White LED => WLED CCSS, with sRGB primaries, the ones you choose wronglyAlso it is likely that PA279CRV is an QLED

or W-LED PFS phosphor HP Z24x G2 bundles with displaycal default correction packA widegamut CANNOT BE WLED (white led).
Also check uniformity. Although center can be D65 if uniformity is not good in color tint you may get an overall visual of a yellow, green, pink … screen

So I downloaded the CCSS ASUSTek COMPUTER INC PA279CRV Native (i1 Pro 2) profile. In the instrument>mode settings, Refresh (generic) was automatically set. is this okay? The uniformity seems okay to me I think. I am attaching a picture of the results.

It does not matter, it was a bug in argyllcms ccmxmake app used to create ccss. Since it’ts text you can change it to “NO” on ccss but it’s not relevant.

dE uniformity is not useful at all to check color tint. dE ~ color tint error + brightness error
Change to deltaC in center combo, but is very good. -
