I have essentially the same issue as below; Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, using a SpyderX colorimeter (that is recognized — the diagnostic was displayed at the end of the calibration procedure).  Screenshot attached.  Any assistance (e.g., an applicable URL) would be appreciated.   I already have checked on AskUbuntu but to no avail.  I am using the latest production DisplayCal; when I activated DisplayCal, a request was made to update the actual back end (Argyll), and upon my acceptance, a tar.gz file automatically was downloaded and seemingly installed (I assume that the tar -xzf was done automatically in the background).  If you need specific log files, etc., just ask and please be specific where these files can be found and thus uploaded to you.   Take care.  Stay safe.  Thank you.

  1. I ran into similar issues on archlinux with lxqt as a DE; I “solved” it by running ‘xiccd’. I’m not exactly sure of all the implications but it did let me apply profiles with a visible effect. I believe KDE/Gnome should have builtin support for profiles however, unlike lxqt.
