    Hello,

I’ve used displaycal for years and when I went to use it again today I ran into this error. I looked through all the relevant forum posts for this error and wasn’t able to troubleshoot myself. I’m using an x-rite colormunki display device. I don’t have any x-rite software downloaded, and I’ve tried every USB port on my computer and running into the same problem. Using displaycal 3.8.9.3 with newly downloaded argyll to which I pointed displaycal to the variables for argyll. Ran displaycal in administrator as well and nothing.

    Here’s the log:

Run a basic test, even without colorimeter correction on some argyllcms app, command line.
For example, on a console / command line, navigate to ArgyllCMS bin folder and run
    dispcal -R
for a basic test. If device cannot be used you need to send the error to ArgyllCMS maillist for support.

You can try with unzipped latest ARgyllCMS version https://www.argyllcms.com/
