Have pasted the log below, this was happening prior to the last two upgrades. opensuse 15.1, a recent upgrade for me as well has changed a number of things … anyhow, a novice I am to this world so I’m still in the learning phase. The log will not auto open as in past versions. (minor) Had error for faulthandler but found python’s and that seems to satisfy. Would suggest a time tally or progression bar when doing “install profile”. On a high calibration attempt (4K+ patches) I canceled after 12 min. thinking it was hung only to find a file in the folder but not knowing what size it should be I redid a low count (2.5K+) and had no issues. Resizing a report window gave the following … could not copy txt from window so here’s a pix of the many resultant popup’s.

  1. Would suggest a time tally or progression bar when doing “install profile”.

Not sure what you mean. There is always a progress dialog (in indeterminate state) when installing a profile, amount of patches does not matter. It is not possible to give a time estimate during profile installation though, because the OS does not provide that information. If it takes longer than 20 seconds, then there’s probably something wrong on the system.
