The email sent from your reply to this thread got a PASS for both SPF and DMARC.
Perfect! Thanks 🙂

I researched a lot everything related to SPF, DKIM, DMARC and all related.
You are entirely right, SPF does not guarantee not being put in spams. However it helps.
It’s one of those things being pushed to be standardized everywhere, just like HTTPS.
If you can implement it, it won’t have a visible impact, but might make things easier for people…[Read more]
I spent hours trying to find what was different with the i1 Display Studio compared to ColorMunki and if I would get the speed bump. In the end I had to try it directly for a clear answer.
The firmware on it is even the same as on my ColorMunki (firmware date reported by DisplayCAL)

Not an issue with the software, but with the forum itself. I received an email to inform me that I received a reply to a thread created, and it went into spams with a big header “New Eden Mail could not verify that it actually came from hub.displaycal.net. Avoid clicking links, downloading attachments or replying with personal…[Read more]
I bought the i1Display Studio.
It is a ColorMunki with it’s serial number bumped to CM19 instead of CM18 at the start.
Calibration seems to be slightly faster, but not 5 times like the 1i Pro. A verification taking 7m45 takes only 7m to run.
I have included the full report done after calibration.
On the gamma curve, the measured gamma is always lower than nominal.
There is also a gamma average of 1.13 (1.15 median) when showing additional statistics.
Given my low knowledge into this, I am assuming that the reported gamma value is wrong. However, if I’m wrong, let me…[Read more]
After calibration, using “report on a calibrated device” shows a gamma of 2.15. Should it be closer to 2.2, since that’s what I used for the tone curve?
My uncalibrated gamma is 2.3, but I assumed it would be better to keep using 2.2.

It does seems to help, thanks. I’m not sure it’s entirely gone but it’s really hard to tell. Your vision becomes fuzzy if you look too close at the text for a while.
I can’t find anywhere an explanation as to why this occurs at all, after a calibration… I did not have this issue with my own PC and screen.

I just finished doing a calibration of my sister’s laptop (screen is https://laptopmedia.com/screen/auo-b133han05-c-auo5c2d/) using my ColorMunki.
With correction for LCD White LED, white level drift compensation, and temperature set to 4200k (white level as measured, tone curve gamma 2.2) and despite having profile quality to high and low…[Read more]
The most accurate profile type is always XYZ LUT, so the choice is easy. I recommend the defaults because I’ve chosen them sensibly, so in 99.9% of cases you’ll just get the best result possible right out of the box.
Thanks for specifying that. This answers my question.
By default, you can’t. There is a reason these options are hidden in the a…
@michaelms Regarding brightness and white point, I got all of that. I am using a set whitepoint of 4200K, simulating f.lux behaviour. My brightness is set to 90cd/m2.
While some concepts such as gamma or gamut seems completely out of reach, the consensus I gathered from my online searches is that leaving it at default it best. Since I don’t need…[Read more]
