Spyder2Pro not recognized

Just installed latest argyll and DisplayCal. System on Win10 64bit which already had a working Spyder2Pro installation and instrument is recognized on usb/device manager. Also DisplayCal automatically populates the instrument Tools menu drop down with the  line Enable Spyder 2 Colorimeter.

Still the fields next to  Display (showing my display) Instrument and Mode stay empty and the button Calibrate & Profile is greyed out.

I now the instrument is old, but the Spyder2Pro software just created a new profile for my display which helps in getting it warmer than the default setting and more naturel, so now I would like to use the more sophisticated DisplayCal software with this instrument as well.

What do I need to do? I have the log files but I can not interpret these myself. The other 3 possible log files are empty.
