    Hi to all,

I receive an error message when attempting to calibrate external Monitor with Spectrolino on Windows 10.

Error – new_disprd failed with ‘Instrument Access Failed

    Setup:

    Windows 10, 64bit Laptop.

    DisplayCAL 3.8.9.3, ArgyllCMS 2.1.2.

    Spectrolino on Comport.

    Prolific usb-comport set to com2, 9600,8,N,1,N

DisplayCAL > Options > Advanced >Skip legacy serial  is turned off.

Same  hardware works fine on a windows 7, 64bit installation with DisplayCA

No x-rite Software has been installed. The i1Display Pro works fine with the same  hardware and software. However I would like to use the Spectrolino. Please help.

I can not tell you for sure, if there ever was a solution. Currently I am using an external monitor that has hardware calibration with an i1displaypro attached to USB.

You may try loading the displaycal with  right-click >> Run as administrator

That is what I would try first in hindsight.

    Kind regards
