Hello everybody,
I have a question about setting up a reference monitor. I’ve been casually coloring youtube videos for a over a year now, but I’ve decided to properly learn it as I wanna do it for a living. I’m currently working in premiere but I’m gonna switch to resolve. To my understanding, a device such as the BMD mini monitor is used to get the color management of your os/gpu out of the way, to get the cleanest signal possible. If your monitor has an internal lut which you can access, you wont need a lut box, right? In displaycal we can calibrate for resolve. If we make a 3d lut like that, cant we use that within resolve to send it to our monitor thru the deck link, thus making a lut box obselete? Or is this not supported? I was looking at the eizo cg279x, can displaycal access this monitors internal lut? Thanks in advance đŸ™‚
