    Dear All,

this is my first post, I’m completely new to display calibration. We have the X-Rite i1Display Pro and we work in an academic context. We would like to present several differently coloured patches on a screen, and all should have the same luminance in cd/m^2 (i.e., being equiluminant).

Would it be possible to use the X-Rite, connected to one computer running DisplayCAL and ‘point’ it at the coloured patches of a screen on a different computer and read out cd/m2? In other words, DisplayCAL would just need to show the current measured luminance.

The adjustment then would happen on the other computer showing the coloured patches by means of adjusting the colour values in the software we use for experimentation.

I hope I was able to make myself clear 🙂

    Best Wishes,

    Andre

    Hi,

you may want to look at HCFR instead.
