Something very interesting just happened. I normally calibrate using the maximum amount of grayscale points. Ie.the low setting. Normally it takes about 45 minutes using my display and meter. I recently bought and upgraded my display and much to my delight that the same calibration now happens in half the time! About 20 minutes… I’m not sure but I suspect it has to do with the fact that the grayscale tracks more accurately on the new display therefore requiring less time to make adjustments. I could be wrong but I hope I’m right! 🙂

If your new display has a higher black level, or you are using a lower calibration gamma, then this can lower the calibration times as well.
