Hi there!  Very impressed with DisplayCAL3!  I have done a couple initial calibrations, but I don’t think I am using the best method.

My hardware:  40″ Sony Bravia W590B (model introduced in 2014) HDTV, i1 Display Pro.

    Software:  DisplayCAL3

Question:  What is the best way to calibrate this TV without installing any additional software? The following pics show how I have DisplayCAL3 set up right now to calibrate the TV.

    Hi,

depends on what your goals are. Do you want to use the TV as computer monitor? Then you need to use color managed software that can make use of the display profile, or if watching video is your main concern, then create a 3D LUT for use with madVR.

If you want to adjust the TV itself, then HCFR is better suited to the task.
