Would somebody here please tell me what settings I should use with my

iMac (Mid 2011)  with 27-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen TFT display .

is there any sense to calibrate to any setting other than d65 and Gamma 2.2.

I used to calibrate via Basiccolor ( bankrupt ) and i1 Display to their Fotografie Indoor setting – which I mainly used to reproduce my paintings .

    Many thanks,

    Mark

Also if you meant “i1display pro” with your word “i1display” you may want to look for a custom spectral correction (.CCSS file) in displayCAL database for imacs 2011 (if any).
Imac widegamut from this years were not LED (WGCCFL like Dell U711), so if it is LED it’s likely to be White LED sRGB. If you do not find customized CCSS use generic White LED (WLEDFamily_07Feb11)

If you meant “i1display” as the older colorimeters from Xrite you should look for new hardware since its accuracy is not assured.

    Thank you !

    Also,

I am not sure I have an i1 Display Pro because I downloaded + tried iProfiler first , but could not get it to work. Seems the i1 Display spectrometers sold in the Basiccolor Squid 3 bundle are not compatible with iProfiler.

At least that is what Xrite customer service has told me.

    Do you own this one?

For DisplayCAL it’s an i1dispalypro, so you can:

-find a  WLED sRGB-like CCSS from community that matches something like “imac 2011”

-use standard WLED correction (White led IPS etc…) bundled with DisplayCAL.  This one is the same you have been using with Basiccolor (it’s “standard” WLED sRGB-like spectral sample from Xrite), so it’s the easiest choice to work like you did in the past.
