Hello.
Please provide a hash ( md5 or sha256 ) for the download link below so I may verify
the download has completed without corruption.
https://displaycal.net/download/xUbuntu_18.04/amd64/DisplayCAL.deb
Thank you much.
Linux packages are created externally on openSUSE build service. The files change whenever they are rebuilt (which can happen for a number of reasons outside my control), so it wouldn’t make sense for me to download the files and calculate hashes.
Understood.
Would you be able to advise me on how I can achieve a hash from the SUSE build service for;
https://displaycal.net/download/xUbuntu_18.04/amd64/DisplayCAL.deb
I am not familiar with the system.
I was not successfull in finding a method to obtain a hash on their website.
Best regards.
As far as I’m aware, the packages are signed by the build process. Sorry I can’t help further with this, not my area of expertise.

Which Linux distribution (and version) are you using? Usually you will want to install using your distro’s package manager to eliminate the need for manual installs and updates.
OK Florian.
Thanks just the same.
Does anyone else know how to obtain a hash for this download ?
Thank you.
First of all, if you are using Ubuntu 18.04, you should consider using the dispcalgui 3.5.0.0-1 package provided by Ubuntu.
If you really want the latest version and you understand that you may have to manually update DisplayCAL in the future, you can of course use that .deb package. You will find the checksum in the below URL:
