(Gentoo) Spyder 4 won’t detect

Hello everyone. New to this color calibration business and thought to myself, what the hell.  🙂 Treated myself to a preowned Spyder 4 while waiting for my new TV delivery.

I’m running a gentoo linux setup and the immediate issue I’m having is that the instrument is not being detected by argyll.

I am getting good looking messages from the kernel/udev when I plug it it:

It looks all alright to me. But it won’t show in DisplayCAL, ui or command-line.

My monitors and other stuff is detected perfectly.
