I had this problem last week. Since then Windows 10 did an update and I was able to successfully calibrate my Acer desktop H226HQL monitor but when I tried to calibrate my Acer laptop monitor I get the disread.exe error again. Closing and opening DisplayCAL did not resolve the issue.
Why does it calibrate once then can’t start the file on another calibration?
Are you using a 3rd party anti-virus? If so, it may help to add DisplayCAL.exe and dispread.exe to its exclusion list (as well as other related executables from the DisplayCAL and ArgyllCMS installation).
