Hi @fhoech, can you tell me if DisplayCAL is compatible with the new i1 pro plus?

    https://www.xritephoto.com/i1display-pro-plus

    Thanks

I don’t have one to test myself (yet), but AFAIK it is identical to the 2000 cd/m2 OEM version that has been available for a few years, so it should work.

But how do this devices work? because they don´t have drivers…that´s why i´m asking.

Now I have an i1 display pro, and i use HCFR for TV and DisplayCAL for monitors.

    Thanks for your reply

    i1Display Pro doesn’t require a specific driver. It’s a HID device.

@fhoech, it is probable that it does not work until Graeme updates ArgyllCMS => i1d3 unlock codes for those new i1d3 devices may have changed… it is the way of Xrite for “licensing”.

IDNK what he does to capture the codes, if they are different, these are the only i1d3 supported:

    i1d3_disppro , RETAIL
    i1d3_munkdisp , MUNKI DISPLAY
    i1d3_oem , OEM
    i1d3_nec_ssp , NEC i1d3
    i1d3_quato_sh3 , QUATO’s
i1d3_hp_dreamc , HP i1d3 for “calibration without computer” on some Z**X models
    i1d3_sc_c6 , CalMAN
    i1d3_wacom_dc , Wacom

Each model has an unique 64bit unlock code

Unlock codes are relatively trivial to add though, so it would only be a matter of Graeme getting a hold of someone with that instrument for him to add yet another unlock code.

The version of i1D3 “Plus” (i1Display Pro Plus) currently shipping from Amazon works out of the box with ArgyllCMS and HCFR.

Note for anyone coming across this on Google: ArgyllCMS is the back end of DisplayCAL – so in turn DisplayCAL works too.

In a few hours I am buying it!

    <3 At LAST! <3

I am currently selling my SPYDER5 and was wondering is DisplayCal the better choice than the proprietary software coming with i1Display Pro Plus?

Florian, what is your opinion at the moment at this stage of DisplayCal?

Naturally, I’m a bit biased, so you’ll probably guess what I would use 🙂

Well me and my big mouth. My retailer had sold it out (even though I told him I was coming to buy it) and I missed a great deal. Had to by the regular PRO. I am so pissed off about it.

AFAIK their solution is more granular, no?

I’m not sure what you mean by “granular”.
