    hi all

what is the correct workflow to properly calibrate an EIZO cx271 for use with Davinci Resolve 12 via blackmagic ultra studio mini monitor (through hdmi). Should Colour Navigator (EIZO) be used at all for initial calibration of hardware (monitor) followed by running dispcal/argyll cms to generate a 3d lut to be used from within Resolve for correct reference? The aim is to set it up for rec709 standard.

    Many thanks!

    Hi,

There is a guide in the wiki: https://sourceforge.net/p/dispcalgui/wiki/3D%20LUT%20creation%20workflow%20for%20Resolve/

Should Colour Navigator (EIZO) be used at all for initial calibration of hardware (monitor)

It’s not a necessity. You can also set the monitor to the widest gamut possible and let the 3D LUT do all the work.
