Calibrating to DICOM (GSDF)

Coming from a radiology background, I’d like to know whether DisplayCAL has the ability to calibrate displays to the GSDF (Grayscale Standard Display Function) curve, also known as Barten’s model.

So far, I can only find a way to generate a synthetic ‘DICOM’ ICC profile, as opposed to calibrating the display itself using a colorimeter.

If this is this already supported, how might I go about trying it out? And if not yet supported, are there any plans to do so?

Sorry for bumping an older thread, I too am interested in calibrating to GSDF with the help of DisplayCal and a Spyder 5 colorimeter.

What did you manage to get with your attempts? Any results? How do you actually generate a synthetic “DICOM” ICC profile and what’s the use in it?
