Hi there, I am fairly new to this so please bare with me. I have an old Sony HW30 projector that I would like to get the best out of with dynamic tome mapping using madvr. For optimal results I understand that a 3DLUT is required so my aim is to create one for REC709 as my projector is not capable of HDR. Is this correct? In addition, I am not sure if and to what extend I should calibrate the projector itself using HCFR. Should I do a greyscale calibration and match the gamma curve to the desired outcome (I guess so)? Should I also calibrate the colors to match REC709 or is that left for the 3DLUT? Finally, what should I look for when selecting the projector mode? The widest possible colors space? Most light output while still covering REC709? Anything else? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
